Privacy
Search stays on your device.
The anonymous Sheaf preview performs every search in your browser. Your query is reflected in the page URL so it can survive refresh and be shared, but Sheaf does not send each keystroke to a search server.
External documents
Opening a paper takes you to its external host. That provider receives an ordinary web request and applies its own privacy policy. The source is always shown before you open a document.
Exam Editor
Guest editing saves your PDF, typed answers, handwriting and working pages in this browser. Downloaded papers are retained for offline use. Clearing browser data removes these local copies. Export a PDF or an editable Sheaf backup to keep an independent copy. Public library papers are retrieved through Sheaf from their listed source and checked against the prepared layout.
Accounts
Signing in to the Editor enables private cloud saving through Supabase. Your email and authentication details are handled by Supabase Auth; Google sign-in also involves Google. Your paper files, answers, handwriting, working pages, document names and save timestamps are stored in your account. Access policies restrict these documents to their owner. Public paper search remains anonymous. You can delete cloud copies from the Editor account panel and local copies from Papers. Signing out clears locally cached account documents on this device; guest documents remain. Cloud saving requires an internet connection; offline changes stay on the device until they sync.
